INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was killed when she and another person were struck by a vehicle late Wednesday on the city's west side.
Alisha Allen, 20, was one of two pedestrians hit in the crash at the intersection of West 21st Street and North Girls School Road, according to IMPD Officer William Young.
Police responded to the crash at about 8 p.m. to the intersection for a report of two people hit.
When officers got there, they found Allen was unresponsive and a male pedestrian injured. Allen was later pronounced dead at the scene and the male was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
The driver was uninjured but transported to Eskenazi Hospital for a blood draw, which Young said is standard whenever there's an accident involving death or serious injuries.
Allen died from fom multiple blunt force injuries, and her death was ruled an accident, according to the Marion County Coroner's Office.
Police say the male victim is believed to be an adult, but his exact age is not yet known.
