INDIANAPOLIS — One person died at the scene and a second person died at a local hospital Monday after what the Marion County Coroner's Office has ruled a homicide-suicide.
IMPD officers responded to the 800 block of Cloverleaf Terrace around 1:30 p.m. and found a man and a woman who had been shot.
Tayveon Ward, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene while DeJanelle Gaines, 24, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Gaines later died from her injuries.
The Marion County Coroner's Office ruled Gaines' death a homicide and Ward's death a suicide.
