INDIANAPOLIS — A man died after a stabbing at a home on Indianapolis' south side in August 2022.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 2900 block of Brill Road just after 1 a.m. for a report of a person stabbed.
Arriving officers located the injured man inside the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Marion County Coroner has identified the victim as Aaron Flora, 23.
On Sept. 23, IMPD said a suspect, Christophers Rawlings, 26, was arrested in connection with Flora's death. He is charged with a single count of murder, according to online court records.
In September 2024, Rawlings was found guilty of killing Flora.
“I commend our deputy prosecutors who went above and beyond to ensure that the eyewitnesses on this case were able to participate in the trial process— ultimately securing justice on behalf of Mr. Flora, who lost his life in an utterly senseless act,” said Prosecutor Ryan Mears.
