INDIANAPOLIS — A woman is dead after she was struck by a hit and run driver Saturday, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. in the 3200 block of N Keystone Ave, not far from Washington Park.
Police initially said the woman was a pedestrian, but on Sunday afternoon police said the woman was riding a bicycle when she was hit.
The driver did not stop and the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The bicyclist was identified as Emily Johnson, 67, the Marion County Coroner's Office said Monday.
Additional details, including a description of the vehicle involved, weren't immediately available.
