INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was critically wounded in a shooting Thursday morning on the city's south side, police said.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the shooting just after 4 a.m. in the 5100 block of Southgreen Drive, near U.S. 31 and East Thompson Road.
Police found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived.
Medics transported her to an area hospital in critical condition. The woman's identity has not been released.
IMPD has not released information about what might have led to the shooting.
