Q: Why did you decide to pursue television news as a career?
A: I love telling stories. I am also just a very curious person and tend to ask a lot of questions. Being able to give a voice to people who otherwise would not have one is a powerful tool. Being a reporter also allows you to get to know your community and the people living in it.

Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was helping my mom raise money for my dance classes by working at the RCA Dome in the concession stands. After that, I worked at Red Lobster in high school.

Q: What is on your DVR?
A: Scandal, First 48, The Challenge, Dateline, Quantico, Blacklist & Keeping up with the Kardashians

Q: What is favorite way to spend a day off?
A: Hanging out with my family.

Q: Favorite restaurant in Indy?
A: The Eagle

Q: Most challenging part of your job?
A: Talking to people who are dealing with a loss or a tragedy.

Q: Most memorable story you ever covered?
A: I am loving getting to cover the month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I grew up in Wayne Township, so this is really cool for me.

Q: Favorite book, movie?
A: Movies: Save the Last Dance, Focus

Q: Favorite vacation spot?

A: Miami

Q: What is your proudest career moment?
A: Getting this position at RTV6 in my hometown!

Q: Do you have any pets?
A: No

Q: When I am not at work I am…
A: Trying out a new restaurant, spending time with family or relaxing at home.

Q: What advice would you give someone to get into the business?
A: Be willing to move away to get back to where you want. Work hard. Don’t take no for an answer. I had to go to Lincoln, NE for three years before getting this job in Indy.

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: Traveling with my family to dance conventions and gymnastic meets. My parents sacrificed so much time, money and energy to make sure I was able to be involved. It made me who I am today!
