Kaitlyn is an Emmy award winning anchor and journalist who is thrilled to wake up every morning with you with on Good Morning Indiana.
Kaitlyn joined WRTV in November of 2021 as a Multi Media Journalist but has worked to cover a number of breaking news stories in the greater Indianapolis area.
Despite joining the dynamic, fast paced world of morning news, Kaitlyn loves more sharing stories in her hometown.
As a southside native, the Franklin Central graduate is excited to tell the stories of fellow Hoosiers.
Kaitlyn has spent an extensive amount of time covering the Delphi double murders trials. It's a story she first started in 2017 when Abby Williams and Libby German first went missing.
She remembers being in Delphi the day the girls were reported missing while interning in Indianapolis.
The trial, a full circle moment for Kaitlyn's journalism career, as she works to share stories outside the scope of the courthouse.
Kaitlyn has earned a number of Emmys for her roles as a journalist and field anchor for WRTV. Many of those awards were for her contributions and efforts to honor some of Indiana fallen heroes.
Her favorite stories to share though, are ones that leave a smile on people's faces. She hopes to make a difference in her reporting while leaving a positive impact on the community.
When Kaitlyn isn’t at work she can be found with family. As a first-time mom to Presley, Kaitlyn enjoys navigating the trials and tribulations of parenting.
She also loves running, reading a good book, and is always looking for the next best taco joint.
Kaitlyn didn’t go far for college, as a graduate from the University of Indianapolis Kaitlyn spent time sharing stories with university’s television team.
Before returning home, Kaitlyn spent three years in Fort Wayne at WPTA-21. There she held various roles including main anchor, chief investigative reporter, multi-media journalist, and producer.
